The $199 website, built over text.
Text us what you need, in words, voice memos or photos. Free mockups until you say yes, then we build it.
The whole project happens in one text thread.
No portal, no forms, no video calls. We ask what we need, two questions at a time, and read the whole thing back to you before anything is priced.
Text
Type it the way you would to a customer.
Voice memo
Hold the button and talk. We transcribe it.
Call
Leave a message. We read every word.

Hi, I run a painting company in Polk City. We don't have a website, just a Facebook page. What would it take?
Happy to help. What's the company called, and what should the site do most: get calls, get estimate requests, or look solid when someone Googles you?
Westfork Painting. Mostly estimate requests. We do interior, exterior, and cabinets.
Voice memo, transcribed: We're booked through spring, so I want a form that asks for photos and rough square footage. And I don't want to answer the phone on a ladder.
Got it. An estimate form that takes photos and a rough size, a before-and-after gallery, and a page each for interior, exterior and cabinets. Do you have a logo and some job photos?
Logo's on the truck. Here's some recent jobs
Here's what I heard
Five pages, an estimate form with photos, and a gallery. Tap to check it.

Can the header be the dark green from the truck?
Done, the new mockup is up at the same link. Still $199, still nothing to pay.
Looks good
Agree and pay $199
Your site as mocked up, with the first year of hosting. From year two, $10 a month or $99 a year.

Paid $199. Building the real site.
It's built. Same link, now with the working estimate form. Reply APPROVE to go live on westforkpainting.com, or text me any fixes.
APPROVE
Live on westforkpainting.com
From first text to live site.

Scope
You text, we ask. Two questions at a time, until we know every page, feature and photo the site needs. Voice memos and calls count too.
Mockup
A real mockup of your site, free, at a private address on your phone. Change anything, up to 25 times. The price sits beside it the whole way.
Agree and pay
Say looks good and pay $199, once, with the first year of hosting. Or take the code and host it yourself. Nothing is paid before this.
Build
We build the working site from the mockup you agreed to: forms that send, pages that load fast, and a person checking it before you see it.
Launch
Reply APPROVE and it goes live on your own domain. From year two, $10 a month or $99 a year, with $5 of changes included every month.

Questions people text us.
Do I need to know anything about websites?
No. Describe your business the way you would to a customer in your truck. We ask the rest, two questions at a time, and we read every word back to you before anything is built.
How long does it take?
Scoping takes a day or two of texting, at your pace. The first mockup arrives within minutes of the read-back, and once you say looks good the working site is usually built within a few days.
What does it cost?
$199, paid once, with the first year of hosting and $5 a month of change credit included. From year two it is $10 a month or $99 a year to keep it hosted, or take the code and host it yourself for nothing more. YesDesk receptionist customers pay $99.
When do I pay?
Nothing until you say the mockup looks good. Then $199 once, and we build the real site. The mockups before that are free, up to 25 rounds of changes.
What do changes cost after launch?
$1 to swap text, a photo or your hours. $3 for a new section, $8 for a new page. We tell you the price before doing anything. $5 of credit comes with hosting every month and rolls over for up to 3 months, so most months cost nothing extra.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. If you already own one, we text you the two settings to change, or do it with you on a call. If you don't, we register one for you for about $20 a year. You own it either way.
What if I don't like it?
You see a free mockup before anything is paid, and you can change it up to 25 times. After the build, fixes against the mockup you agreed to are included, and nothing launches until you reply APPROVE.
Who actually builds it?
People at YesDesk, with help from our own tools. A person reviews every site before you see it and answers if you ask for one. We are in Iowa and we build for businesses like yours every week.
Can we use Slack instead of texting?
Yes. Add YesDesk to your Slack workspace and message it the way you would text us, in a direct message or a channel. Photos, files and voice clips work the same way, and your project stays one thread wherever you write from.
Can it answer my phone too?
That is the other half of YesDesk. The receptionist answers your calls and texts, books the appointment, and sends you a note about it. Receptionist customers get the site for $99; ask in the same thread.
